…and thanks for checking out my work! I’m Rachel and I live in Birmingham, AL with my husband and three children. I love exploring and traveling, but I also love curling up on the couch watching a movie. My husband and I love creating and working on projects together when we can find the time… which is becoming rare these days! My love for photography began a long time ago, but after the birth of my first, I discovered that photographing motherhood, families, and children is where my passion lies.
In my approach to photography, and life in general, I strive towards authenticity, deep connections, and simplicity. One reason I love photography is the chance it gives me to meet new people and reconnect with old friends. Photography gives me a unique opportunity to learn more about people, hear their stories, and highlight what makes their family beautiful. I consider that a true honor. These things guide each detail of my sessions including the location, wardrobe, lighting, and the interactions. I truly hope you come away with not only beautiful pictures that you will cherish forever, but also a renewed appreciation for your family and what makes you all special.

About my logo
If you look closely at the letters in my logo, you’ll notice the imperfections, the texture, and the variation of color that comes from the hand-painted watercolor process. I really wanted a logo that defined my style and approach in this little venture of mine. A visual reminder of appreciating the beauty in the process of creating, and living for that matter: the messy, imperfect, beautiful journey that we get to live. A striving to create and interact with truth & grace; and to tell your family’s imperfectly perfect story.
